Each specimen is encased in a hand blown glass convex vial, along with a corresponding number and manuscript label explaining its contents and the majority also declare its origins.
Specimens include Malachite, Moonstones, Lead
In untouched original condition, all glass is intact and complete no cracks or chips, the vials are secure and all look as they would have the day made. All the numbers and labels are present and correct.
The case is of particularly good quality also, a pine caucus with a birds eye maple veneer with some very minor nicks and abrasions, the piece also has its original display/protective cushion.
There is a paper label on one side of the case but is partially missing I would assume a makers labels. It’s likely this was a one off commission or possibly a trade/exhibition piece.
