A top quality example of a late Victorian writing box.
This example is made of beautiful olive wood with sturdy cast copper handles on both sides,
The fold-down front reveals the beautifully decorated interior; when the front drops down, the spring-loaded drawer emerges containing the two original inkwells on either side of a removable pen tray with storage space below
The three small drawers above have retained the original velvet lining, this would have been an expensive upgrade at the time and beautifully preserved in excellent condition, The center drawer pull has been replaced with a knob. Entirely in beautiful and original condition.
