“Thorny Edge” Limited Edition Etching by Bethia Brehmer

A signed limited edition etching by the American artist Bethia Brehmer. This monochromatic abstract etching depicts a forest scene filled with clustered leaves and sweeping large dark and white thorned branches. Signed and dated to the lower right corner it is framed by a black and brown wood frame.

Bethia Brehmer was born and raised in Wisconsin. She studied at the University of Michigan College of Architecture and Design earning a degree in oil painting but eventually fell in love with etching through a class with Frank Cassara. She then studied printmaking in graduate school at the University of Wisconsin while also illustrating for the Botany Department. She now resides in Wellfleet, Massachusetts
