A very impressive and fine quality late 19th Century English bracket / mantel clock. Veneered in red Tortoiseshell and having wonderful gilded ormolu mounts and mouldings. Having flamed finials, pierced, fretted mouldings and panels, scrolling foliate and classical monopodia mounts to the corners. The brass engraved clock face, with a three train, eight day duration movement that can strike or be set to silent on the hour and half hour, with a Westminster chime on eight bells and a gong.
