Antique Ersari Kapunuk (Salor Gapylyk / Jallar Paidar)
The format and the size of the Capunuk are designed in such a way that they enclose a door frame and form a decorative entrance to the round tent known in the West as a yurt. The Capunuk, which is also known as Turkmanic Gapilik, is one of the “furniture” that is attributed to the Turkish yurt – the same round and portable tent that was lived in by nomads in Central Asia. The capunok was stretched on the inside of the tent over the entrance gate, down from the borders and fringes.
The rug is new, it was only used as a wall carpet.
This ancient Ersari Kapunuk rug is made of cod roll on cod roller. Very fine and dense link with approx. 400,000 knots / m².
