This pair of cloisonné enamel vases consists of a body in two parts. The lowest, cylindrical in shape, depicts scenes of Japanese life, with characters in kimonos and pagodas. Different shades of blues interspersed with yellow, white, and green, bring depth to these illustrations.
The higher, rounded part has Fao dog handles in bronze; characters are lost in flowers and foliage, leading to the collar decorated with friezes, then to the copper lip.
Each has a stamp engraved on its underside.

The original shape and traditional Japanese patterns of these vases will make them beautiful decorative accessories.
