Late 20th Century Qing-Style Chinese Famille-Verte Gu Form Scholar Vases, a Pair

Qing-Style cobalt blue vases with gilt cloud panels featuring scholarly elements, florals, and birds. While very similar to 19th Century antique famille-verte vases sold by Sotheby’s and other reputable auction houses in the last several years, these two vessels are most likely reproductions as the scenes are consistently painted and identical on both vases. Regardless, these gu form vases are beautiful and respectfully honor their antique predecessors.
