Sculpture & Furniture
Sheet metal is Nathanaël Le Berre’s medium of choice when creating his works and channelling his vivid imagination. The unique pieces he makes require a high level of skill–they earned him the renowned Prix Liliane Bettencourt pour l’Intelligence de la Main in the category “Exceptional Talent” in 2014.
‘I find the idea of working metal with hammers to process a volume simply fascinating,” he says. “This under-explored discipline requires another way of thinking, a new type of language. It enables me to expand boundaries, as I did with my two-door cabinets, “Archal” and “Organon”.’
Le Berre’s works can be seen in such illustrious surroundings as the Hôtel de Crillon on Place de la Concorde, the Hôtel Mandarin in Hong Kong, the Maison Louis Vuitton on Place Vendôme, and as part of private collections.
The “WonderLab” travelling exhibition showcased some of his works at the Tokyo National Museum in 2018 and the National Museum of China, in Beijing in 2018.
