SELENE BAR RED – Fossil Oak

It is a bar cabinet equipped inside with a backlit shelf for storing fine bottles, a retractable top for drink preparation, and two drawers.

The door and interior drawer fronts of the SELĒNĒ BAR are hand-painted with the egg tempera technique from the early Renaissance, which uses egg yolks, casein or gum arabic and natural powdered pigments, expertly blended.
It must be done by skilled hands, taking as much time as necessary for the brush strokes to dry, preparing small amounts of color from time to time.

Egg tempera is one of the oldest and most effective methods of preparing colors for painting, the technique of which has been handed down to us from the “Book of Art” by the painter and writer Cennino Cennini (1370-1440).

The central disk is made from a three-dimensional mosaic of fossil oak.
A soft LED light on the back gently illuminates the door painting and creates the effect of a lunar eclipse.

Oil finish with water-based beeswax that does not alter the original color of the wood.
